Hi, new member
« on: March 31, 2015, 08:30:37 pm »

Hi, just joined the forum a few nights ago.......
I currently don't have a Unimog, but the pic I have attached is of the 404 troop carrier me and my Dad owned for many years until 2003 when my Dad died suddenly on our family holiday. I was only 15 years old at the time, so had no means or way of affording to keep the ol' girl. I never ever wanted to sell her, but like I say, at the time, it was the practical thing to do. Ever since that day I always dreamed of finding it again when I was older! (now 27)
I have searched here and there now and again over the years but to no avail.
But only the other day I spotted a pic of her on show at Carrington steam and heritage show 2013 recently on Flikr and DVLA states that she's taxed etc. I didn't know if anyone knew of her whereabouts or if someone on here even was the owner. I would welcome very much any info. she is a 1957 404 and the reg. is PPW 425W. We had the greatest times in that Moggy and have some great pics and memories of it. I'm still really into them and thought I would join up! thanks, Jay.

Hi Jay, and welcome to the forum.

I don't know of the vehicle myself, but hopefully sharing this info will come up with something. They're not common vehicles so there's a chance you could find her. Good luck with your search.

Hello Jay,

Welcome to the forum.

I understand the sentimental attachment, I have the Mog I learnt to drive in and I am teaching my 2 young boys to drive in it. Hope you manage to track it down. Might turn up at the same show this year.
