New member from the South-west
« on: January 04, 2014, 06:15:13 pm »
Greeting everyone, have been watching as a guest for ages and have finally got round to joining.

Based near Plymouth but regularly in Gloucestershire as seem many others.

Had a 1300L for a few years, but now have a 411.118 ex snow blower (no snow gear left) as new project that will fit in the garage!

Hope to learn more and meet up with others of like mind to get back on the road.

Phil

Welcome to the forum Phil.

What made you get rid of the 1300? Space limitations or just a need for something new (or in your case old)?

The 1300L was fun, easy to drive but just too big to have on the drive. Of course the neighbours think I am mad but now I have sun in the front windows. Was the right thing to do as 1300 with box is same size as my garage.

Now have what I think is a 1970 411. Short wheelbase heavy duty springs and a rusted out cab, so looking to replace that and get running, then look at making it look smarter without spending a fortune.

So will start new treads with questions once checked to see the answer not there already.
Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil and welcome to the mog mad house :)

I'm starting yo think there's more 411 out there than 406! Must be a bit of a shock with the change in sizes as you drive round

I have seen what I thought wax a 406 cabrio in a cream colour around Plymouth a few summers ago. Let me know if you are local.
There are a few more modern utility Mogs being used by farmers in Cornwall for towing.
Hopefully will have my 411 if not sorted this year well on the way and get to meet more examples.
