Thanks again Keith
-
Looks tidy that 8)
-
Tanks all plumbed in now with both fuel filters and fuel taps
-
Back is all done now got both fuel filters in the back aswell
-
I'm not sure. I've never seen a 404 with a 3 point linkage so just assumed it wouldn't work? The chances of the chassis rails being the same are pretty slim I'd have thought? If you measure them outside to outside next time you have a moment I'll see if it's the same and take some pictures for you.
-
Will it not go on a 404 then I am after a heavy duty tow hitch as this dropped hitch is only for mogfest and will have to be removed when im playing
-
Looks like a tidy job. I've got a big heavy pin hitch for my 406 that fitted to the linkage holes in the chassis but it's removed and unwanted. If you had a 406 I'd be kicking myself right now! :D
-
Made up a tow bar for the mog all this to bring a box trailer to mogfest
-
Lids all done
-
Not sure on the hours but yeah there was alot and more to come as it will be a 4 door soon after the mog meet still thinking about the way I will rig my winch to lift the spare got something in mind but not convinced lol I will find a way
And yes villager as much weight on the back as I can the twin tanks full of fule and my boxes full of tools I should be ok
I weighed it before I started it was 1900 sumthing on the front and 900 sumthing on the back about that have it wrote down if your interested in exact weights before and after will post them on
-
Looks tidy that :) Nice to see you putting the weight right at the back, important on a mog :)
-
Very nicely done isn't it. I'm thinking a lot of hours have gone into the project - it's looking great.
-
That looks awesome!!!
-
Adding the accessories
-
It wasn't the weight I was thinking, rather how much force is applied when winching? Or will you mount the winch in the spade?
-
All the back is 3mm wall box section I can use the wheel carrier as a step it flexis with my weight and the wheel but it wont break the spade isnt heavier than me so will be fine its stronger than it looks
-
You sure that cage structure will hold up to the pressure a spade has to endure? That's a lot of stress for something so lightly constructed!
-
Tell me about it im also putting a massive spade on the spare wheel carrier for my ground anchor so will be needed
-
I think a winch is a good long term thought. A 12.5R20 is liftable on a wheel, but they're bloody heavy aren't they!
-
The exhaust were allready on the truck when I got it there hyabusa exhaust modified
The lights are tucked in and protected well so no branches can touch them
And the spare is hinged so brute force and ignorance to lift it for now but I have a centre winch
That will lift it on a snatch block of the top of the cage its all got to be fabricated
I have took 12 inches of the bed aswell so I can extend the cab and give it 4 doorts
2 doors needed with hinges if any1 got any ror sale
-
Looks good fella. I like the chassis colour! Those little upright exhausts look tidy too - did you make them yourself? The lights on the front look well hidden from things that can damage them, so all round fairly well thought out I reckon. Is there some kind of system for lowering that spare wheel carrier?
