I'd take a punt at it being a Canadian army G Wagen, so probably a C6 machine gun. If you can afford the armoured G and the gun, you can afford the ammo I guess
-
granted, but i can't even afford the armour, so i'm screwed either way :P

One form or another of GPMG. Probably in 7.62x51 (.308 to us) and fires anything from 600-1200 rounds per minute depending on the model. Although I'd love one, at £1.50 per round I couldn't afford to use it much.

what is it neil?

I wouldn't mind the pea shooter that he's got mounted on the roof...

Just read this post when, I was seventeen I bought a Land rover or two but moved onto harder stuff.
Spent the yesterday fitting a new input seal to my Doka it's been leaking for about ten year and Brian would top it up (good lad) I've had this Mog for over eighteen years and added more and more kit more and more weight. I think this is the first ever repair mechanically I have ever had to do. she was like new inside when I stripped her down all the bolts came apart no problem, it's not an easy job the input seal on a front hub, but once in nearly twenty years of hard graft, I can live with that! Unimogs buy it right service it and work it hard you gotta love.
Ps I still have a soft spot for series 2 with a Essex engine (rose tinted glasses) :)

Haha! I thought that may be the case! :D

Either that or ban me! :D
Tempting ;)

He's getting defensive lads. I think he's about to crack. Either that or ban me! :D

I wonder if we can talk Brian into letting us have a Land Rover section? :P
No
They do say that youngsters can hide their true love for something by being mean to it... Perhaps that could be the case here? ;)
No
as Dashing as the truck may be Casto, are you going to the mog meet or not, there's a surcharge of an extra £50 for those who take a land rover when they have a mog ;)

One of my clearest driving memories is in my old Defender pickup on a trip down to Devon for my annual holiday. Seven bloody hours on the M5... Stopping and starting all the way in the holiday rush. It took my left knee most of the holiday to feel anywhere near normal again after all that clutch work!

Nice truck, land rovers really look the part for tree surgery, i still think about getting a 130 tipper then i drive my mates 110 and its not long in knocking that notion out my head :D
Ive own defenders and various series landies in the past and its a given they break, my current hilux I've had for a few year has 190 thousand on the clock and never gives me a moments bother ( touch wood) mogs on the other hand…………. hahah :)
Cool looking 110 though mate, good luck with it.

Another way to increase load stability and reduce roll is fit an airlift kit to the back. I did this with my old 300 tdi disco and the difference was amazing. It used to spend aot of its time with in the region of 3/4 ton of kit in the boot and a fairly heavy nose weight recovery dolly behind it.

I've got to admit that there were some parts of Land Rover ownership that used to bother me a lot. They do offer up something that no jap truck can, but at the same time I often used to wonder why they would break so much?! It's rarely a major problem and is usually a cheap fix, but something used to fall off of mine with such regularity that I got a bit fed up with them. I've had several Defenders and all were the same. My Ranger on the other hand has (touch wood) never broken down in all the time I've had it. It's the most boring truck to drive that I've ever had, but it works.
I do loosely keep an eye out for a nice crew cab 130 to appear locally. I think if I found one I may buy it. The Land Rover bug is a bit like HIV - once you get it it never goes away even though there are lots of reasons to wish that it would! :D

Yeah I'm looking at getting terrafirma big bore shocks. There's loads still to do on it but I'll get there slowly lol. Yeah Brian seems very quite at the mo..., maybe he actually likes it :-p
-
It's a nice looking truck that. Should be a decent workhorse for you for a few years.

Terrafirma shocks are good on road I had them on my disco and my dads got them on his I would vouch for them
-
She's a 110 with full ally sides but steel bulk head. Has a decent tipping ram on it as well. I need to change the dampers and fit an anti roll bar as sherrolls a bit lol
-
110 or 130? Looks ok complete Allways good with a landy what's it for work or play
-
Well I saved my pennies and got my self a new toy. Still have to sort the cab and front out but it's a start. Let me know what u think.
