-
Good news Gerard! Looking forward to seeing you and your mog again :)
-
Right! finally been able to get the time to "create" a self addressed envelope :-)
Wife and kids are visiting family so it's going to be a bachelor Unimog weekend for me!
Looking forward to seeing all the Unimogs at play

2 people for behind the wheel, easy peasy
Sounds like you 2 have excepted the challenge! !
i think you'd find it a bit slow going following us in the black beast, i think it would be great to just take ones time and enjoy, 20011 was a an adventure I'm sure Brian will never forget, what is life for if not to enjoy 😊

That's no challenge Casto been there done that. I reckon if you can do 200 miles a day at 25 mph average it's about a 1000 miles lovely jublee happy times

Typical moose ! One of only a handful brave enough to take on the task

If you wanna go to Germany in yer 411 you'd better start DRIVING now ;-)
-
That's the thing about 411 it can go on a trailer easily although I did consider driving it to Germany in 2011 for the 60 year celebrations, my god 2021 ! It's only five years way better get started doing her up.
Moose
Looking forward to seeing as many Unimogs as possible enjoy the drive 😊

Happy new year all.
I'm glad to hear that I did not mis a meeting back in 2015 and I am looking forward to catching up with you guys again later this year. This year I hope to be able to attend in my 411.
-
dates are 25-27th march, there's a new post about it all!!
-
quick update...
we've narrowed it down to two venues.
we'll have a definite answer and date by end of the week!
-
I'd like an offroad venue please :)
-
As long as there's beer and burning I'm happy :-)
-
so tonight I pushed Brian into finally ringing a few places in regards to this years meet.
it looks like we're going to be having it end or march beginning of april (before the bike racing season starts!)
both brian and I have tried to contact Frickley 4x4 but so far we have had no luck, so we're trying a few other places.
do people want an off road specific meet or would you be happy with just a place to gather, chat and drink beers around a fire?
Cheers guys, hopefully will have something organised soon!

Would be nice to fix a date and see if we can do it with enough time to let more people know.
Hope everybody is having a great new year!

-
Better make it the 11th the njc, saves me buying u a card lol. Who wouldn't want to spend a birthday weekend surrounded by mogs! :-)
-
Oh no! March?! March is bad, really bad! I have two stag do's to attend. My birthday is the 11th and the weekends either side of it are booked for said parties.... Damn it! :'(
-
We have news on mog meet '15, it's errr, gonna be in 2016... yup.
looking to book it at frickly offroad sometime in march, I have a contact number for them and Intend to ring them after the christmas holidays.
We will also be holding another meet (mog-meet '16) at the end of summer, so keep your eyes peeled!
Cheers, Brian
-
Lol me? Race?? Naaa. I just wanna overtake some fastrac's :-p
-
You only want a race int black edition ! I'm sure we could do a road run on a night could even leave some kit on the mobs and have a demo session too
Moose
-
The only problem I see is that I don't get to take my mog on a run out!! Lol
-
I've driven 900s from southern Germany and I knew a man who used to drive 411s from the factory regularly in the 60s to the UK. a couple of hundred miles is nowt get some ear plugs set of good and early take it steady and enjoy 😀

Same, its a good 200+ mile trip to York.
Is it this month? I'd need to think about getting underway soon!! :D
-
Not sure mine would make it to York, but I'll be up there one way or another!
-
Nice one just need a trailer and I can bring both of mine
-
Just chatting with Casto at the mo, We're trying to arrange it at a spot near him (york), it's an equestrian centre. It'll be held either the middle or end of September.
Cheers, Brian

Iv not got many free weekends left till end of sept, but if you guys do have a get together and i am free that weekend i will be there like a flash. Camping, beer, BBQ and Mogs, what an ideal combination. If it was fairly local to me i would bring my mog but if it was say down in Double Gloucesters field i wunt mind driving down int car to witness the Mog Invasion! Been a while sin ive been camping down that neck of the woods, great part of the country.
-
If Gloucestershire is any good my field is mowed and ready for a mog invasion!
-
I'm not bothered about off roading. Just nice to meet up with like minded people
-
Yeah I reckon if the worst comes to the worst, beer and bbq will do me fine :-)
-
I'm happy to attend a gathering without off road. To me its all about getting every one together for a few bears and BBQ.
-
I could probably organise an event without offroad if people are happy with that? plenty of land owners around us that I think would be willing.
-
Ok Guys, so when are we going to have this years meet up or has it come and gone. The unimog show season is well and truly up and running in Europe with the Gaggenau club meeting already done and dusted and the UVC meeting for 2015 just around the corner. It must be time for us to all turn up in a field some where for a BBQ and some beer. Why get bogged down with an off roading venue?
-
Y'all are killing me! I need some Mog fix. Do we have a date yet?
-
Tong don't allow Unimog's these days, and they're very restrictive on where you can go, have to keep to the paths etc.
-
Tong?
-
Looking at Frickly at the mo, it's a site i quite like. Kirton wanted too much each for the weekend, and there's only the weekend of the 31st July to the 2nd of August that I can do.
-
What about this
-
How about southern Norge?
-
Any news on a date for this yey?
-
Little steps Njc... Little steps lol
-
Indeed you should! I want to see it in mint condition when I turn up ;)
-
Guess I better start work on my old girl now then! Lol
-
I'd feel bad to sleep in your field and drink your beer. Let us know what to bring and we'll sort that bit. A big pot of venison stew is my first choice, with some of the beer chucked in it! :D
-
I could even push to a bbq and some beers ! ;)
-
That's really kind of you Phill, thanks!
-
Hi Ied be up for Kirton. I live about 4 miles from there and never been if people want to Camp out the nite be for or the weeked I have a big field not far with water and Electric
-
I reckon we should try to work it so you can drag Tim along - I'd love to meet the guy after all the help he's given me.
I've got to say I'm not sure if I'm ready to put my faith in my old girl doing a long run... Mind you I am now mates with a very well priced recovery driver! Once bitten, twice shy as they say! :D
-
Is the 2015 meeting fixed by now?
Best regards,
Michael
-
I'll make some enquiries next week to see what dates can be made, in the mean time if there's any dates anyone who want's to attend can't do, please post them :)
-
I like the water photo's!
If we can settle on the dates it would be great to get it fixed.
I would love to go to Bad Kissingen next year so it would be great if the dates do not overlap.
Gerard
-
Sounds good to me. It's about 4 hours from here, so not too bad. I may have to have a punt at the motorway though if I was to take that on!
-
Im well happy to go to kork
Gotta be 1 of the biggest offroad sites in the country with a campsite that will allow fires (safe 1s)
And a huge lake to keep the photographer happy
-
Hi everyone,
first off I would like to thank everyone for a great weekend, although I do feel particularly sorry for Paul, who did turn up at 1 o'clock today and everyone had left.
So this year I am preparing early, and I am looking to everyone for suggestions of next years site, I think we all agreed that the annual meet should change location every year to give those with the slower Unimogs a chance to attend.
several people this weekend showed interest in going to Kirton off road centre next year, so this is at the top of the list currently, however I am looking for other peoples suggestions as well, Ideally next years would be north of Birmingham, and then the year after, south, etc. Eventually when we get more Scottish members we will also hold a meet there.
A quick link to the KORC website
http://www.korc.co.uk/
So let me know your thoughts, I think we will also hold the event in august next year, or maybe june, so that it doesn't clash with the breslau rally :D
cheers, Brian
