good point,

as its a 1960 411 it should be a pressed axle, so it will be quite awkward to remove :)

Early and late 3 point linkages are different. I don't know what year the change over came about but the big give away is the type of axle casing that you have. The 3 piece casing is the later type and the early axle casing is one piece.
I did a bit of digging around on the net and found a company who can make up the steel pipes with brazed banjo ends. So when I have some spare cash I'll be heading off for some of these.

I bought my 3 point linkage new. Its a very good reproduction of the later type that I needed on my 1965 411.

Hi Martin,

welcome to Unimog Club Uk.

regarding the linkage you should already have the bracket to the left of the diff (looking from the back) on the axle, the rest is bolt on and easily removed if you plan to go offroading.
regarding the side belt pto, i think Manfred is selling just the pully? but the side pto's are quite rare, we have a friend with one on his 411 :)

sorry can,t help but i would love to see pics of your set up as i wish to do the same to mine 1 day. all i know is the hydraulics were metric nuts and collars on steel pipes nothing that a decent pipe shop couldn,t provide.i,m hopeing to find a three point linkage but i,m reluctant to weld it to the rear axle as it,ll mess up the clearance thing any ideas? and have you seen the weird thing that manfred is selling on ebay for the 411 a flat belt output for the 411 that comes out of the wrong side of the gearbox  just in front of the dipstick? shame i,m skint .if i come up with anything i,ll let you know!!

As per the title.
I,m trying to build up a 411 with working hydraulics. I have the ram and arms for the rear and the tank and valve block for the front. What I need to find is all of the other stuff.

Hydraulic hoses with quick release couplings for the rear equipment
Hose to go from the tank to the hydraulic pump
Hose from pump to control block
Mounting bracket for control block onto steering box
Clamp that fits to the steering column for mounting the levers
2 x metal pipes that feed to the rear of the unimog
Hydraulic pump

I know that I can get many of these parts made at my local hydraulic hose specialist, but would like to find some of the original items to use, even if only as a pattern.
