I suprised they found a truck big enough to fit it on! 😂
bloody hell that truck was well overloaded it's only a 7.5 tonne truck there must be at least five tons in Gerard's 1550 empty 😀
-
I have to leave my laptop on over night to upload a 5 minute video to youtube! the joys of living in the countryside!
Well I would say that I feel sorry for you for having to live there, but actually I'm quite jealous of the views! ;)
-
I tried up loading to Facebook. Managed one video but now won't let me upload another!

I've spent part of today uploading videos to Youtube and putting pictures on Photobucket. When I've got it all sorted I'll add links in the picture section.
For some reason my internet isn't doing very well. It's taken me about four hours to upload less than an hour of video!

Even more annoying when the part of the machine you were concerned about is the part that let you down in the end.
Looks like you made it enough of the way back to soften the recovery bill somewhat though.
-
Oh dear. That brings back memories!
Hope you've got it home ok now? Time to redesign that box I reckon - it's really annoying when such a little thing causes so many issues!
-
Even though i am still on my way home i agree it was a great weekend. Beats sitting in front of the TV any day. Looking forward to the next one!
Currently my Unimog is getting the best mpg ever!!
I guess the repair didn't hold out then?? 😕
At least you could have a sleep on the way back! Was good to meet you and see a great 1550 😊

Many thanks to all who attended :) Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, but as Nick says it created a great team spirit :)
As Hannah has already said, were hoping to organise another meet later this year, so we'll let you all know nearer the time :)
-
Thanks guys for sorting a brilliant weekend, we really enjoyed ourselfs, had a good laugh with everyone and learnt alot, just about defrosted now!, even the harsh conditions in a strange sort of way was enjoyable bringing out a great team spirit.

Howdy,
Lovely to meet you guys. The heavens opened just as I got home. I've got the mog back to it's home in cheshire and everything, about 80 miles on her today (and a substantial amount of mud), which is the most for a while.
See you soon,
jim
-
I'm glad those of us that went made the most of it - even when we had the rain coming at us sideways!
Hoping to get something sorted for later in the year (August/September) too.
For those of you Facebook, ive put a picture on the club's facebook page, then feel free to add me if you want to see the rest of the pictures from the weekend.
Cheers to those of you that came ;D ;D ;D
-
I just wanted to say thank you to Brian and hannah for setting up a great weekend. Was great to meet up with people I've talked to on here or seen what your up to with your mogs.
For those that missed the weekend (apart from the gale for winds we had) it was a great weekend, with beers, bbqs and mogs.... I promise to take mine next year!
I'm sure there will be plenty of pics and videos to come!
-
Have a great weekend folks! :)
You missed a great weekend! Always next year though 😊

Glad im taking beast, if I was taking kassy I wouldn't get anywhere! Think I only get 42 mph out of her 😂
-
Hi Jim,
I'm happy for late registrations this once, just fill the application out and give it to me on the day you arrive, and make the payment to the bank details on the application before tomorrow as I'm setting off Friday morning :)
I can't guarantee that you'll get a goody bag but I'll do my best :)
Cheers, Brian
-
Howdy,
Will a late registration work out? I'm struggling to get child cover. Obviously, not paying by cheque..

It's per vehicle, but you're basically paying for the camping :)
-
its per vehicle :D

Is the entry price per vehicle or per person? Is there a family ticket option?
5 hours by car each way, better make that 10 hours minimum with a 411.

I just done a gewgol and it's a 381km trip each way for me. Might have to see if I can get Friday off work, otherwise I prolly won't get there before it's time to come home again :D
-
Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know that the application form is now attached to the first post again (I've also attached it to this post for ease)
Please note, only applications received before the 12th of march will receive a 'Mog-Meet '16 mug and sticker.
Cheers, Brian
-
The attachment isn't available at the moment as the site host unfortunately had an issue, I will re upload it either this evening or tomorrow :)
-
Just clicked on the link for the pdf, I get a "404 attachment not found" message.
Usually, the number 404 brings a smile to my fizzog, but not this time :P
-
Ok, is anyone else having an issue with the application form? as it works perfectly for me.
Just to confirm it's attached to the first post of this thread, which is written by wilko92. it's at the bottom of the post in green as " Mog-meet '16 "
-
Have I missed where the application forms is, as the first link doesn't work still
-
Haha, the "washing machine" is a washing machine drum which I use to burn wood :P
Hahahahahahahahahahanaha u make me laugh young fisher! Might as well take it to the scrap yard where it belongs! 😂😉
-
Haha, the "washing machine" is a washing machine drum which I use to burn wood :P
-
I'd beat you if I brought my old snow blower. She's a bit rough theses days to say the least
-
9ft tents! Log burners! Washing machines!! Gona feel like the poor relation at the side of you lot.
-
I have a big canvas tent that stands up to a little gas heater really well, stays warmer longer as well.
but when I have a sleeping back that goes to -25 I think ill be warm enough over night anyway!
really looking forward to meeting everyone!
-
Blimey, big enough for a moose that is ;)
-
Cheers Nick. I've actually bought a heavy duty army canvas tent now. I was thinking that canvas may stand up to some sort of heater better than a nylon one. I may even adapt it to take a little wood burner. It's 9ft long so big enough for me and a fire!
-
I've sent you a private message josh :)
-
sorry about application form, had loads of trouble getting it to upload. I believe brian has sorted it, if not I'll tackle it again tomorrow
-
Ah, it appears only one part of the form has uploaded, I'll let Hannah know
-
I have a couple of spare tents neil your welcome to use one of them.
Sorry wilco whats the score with down loaded form?
-
Don't know where you'll find one of them mate ??? :D
-
Ok if I pop down for the day/evening for a crack about unimogs? My Unimog U140 is currently off the road and not likel to be rebuilt for the end of March...
-
I just need to find a camping body that fits a u900...... hmmmm
-
I'm hoping to have built some poles to support a big 4x8m tarp so we can all sit under it if it starts to rain, so if worse comes to worse Neil ;)
-
I found a canvas army tent. That'll do!
-
I'm wondering what I'm going to sleep in. My little tarp isn't going to be much fun in March! :'(
-
Pfft, least people can gather around mine
-
Lol sounds about right, u bring ur washing machine and I'll bring my bbq 😂
-
You mean the washing drum?
-
Looking good!
Brian does this mean your bringing ur attempt at a bbq again?
-
I'm sure simon needs a driver for one of his ;)
-
Brilliant. I should be able to make this now it's later in the month. I doubt I'll bring the mog up. It's still not quite up together as far as long runs are concerned and it's too heavy to push home!
-
Looking forward to meeting you, and seeing your mog.
-
Looking forward to seeing you and your 'mog Gerard! Are you going to be bringing your family again?
-
Excellent! Looking forward to the gathering.
-
Just to confirm this site is immense! Very excited about this :)
