Only the cab to shot blast and paint now all other items ready, new wheels are on and all oils and belts changed, new turbo , injectors, speedo cable plus many other bits. I am hoping to get cab done this week and the 3 step units in place. The steps are made and painted and have non slip tape on the steps and I used the cnc plasma to cut unimog into the back of the steps (it helps to have a major manufacturing workshop!).
I am also busy designing and manufacturing cat 3 front and rear linkages and pickup hitches. This mog has to be ready for September as I want it on our stand at the apf show

Welcome RSL!
Nice looking Mog. Just the thing to keep you out of mischief forever more :)
We're proud new owners too, just been learning the fine art of pop-riveting plates into the cab floor! That 3-step unit sounds interesting, got a picture?
Cheers and welcome once again,
Rob & Sue

Welcome to the club RSL
That should be one good little (well, not so little! ) mog. According to many farmers, mogs can't plough! So will be nice to see/hear someone is using one in a match.
Cheers Casto

Just Re-read my post, bloody spell checker! Not bowstring but bowsering! >:(
Attached a couple of pictures one when it first arrived (on low loader as brake stuck on and throttle sticking) and the other just before cab coming off

Welcome aboard sounds like a good project the picture thing needs making simpler (Brian) And I believe there is a meet planned down that way I'm sure someone will mention it.

Hello all, I am now am a proud owner of a U1500, after spending my formative years on 3 406 mog crop spraying and bowstring I have now (23 years later) bought a U1500. I have already carried out a full strip down of the cab and changed all oils and filters and belts plus new turbo and injectors and new set of agriculture tyres plus a myriad of other parts such as pipes window seals, seats, switches..and on.... and on....jeez why did I buy it!. I am at the bodywork stage on the cab (the usual rot areas plated and so forth) but it can see daylight now then the fun stuff starts. Keep an eye on my twitter feed and facebook and when I work out how to put pictures on here I will. I or that is my business is going to start manufacturing front and rear linkages and pickup hitches plus accessories such as stainless stack exhausts led light pods for the roof and I have already made new steps to make getting in and out easier. The 3 step unit makes it soooo much easier and looks fantastic. I will try to keep you all posted with progress. When it's finished I want to use it for hobby work and ploughing matches (need to test the linkages) do you have a meet in the southeast as I would like to bring it along
