Hi Steve,
I've been taking pictures of the cab as i go along, it's had new front wings, new front tipping frame, new inner wings, new arches, new footwells , new outer edge channels, new door seal surrounds, rebuilt B pillars and the bottom of the back of the cab. It's had a cab respray and all ancillary parts such as wing mirror arms and upper working lights restored.
However, after getting a new phone, I can not find the pictures any more :( As you can imagine I'm not very happy about this as it has had countless hours of work put into it, hopefully I will be able to find the pictures.
In the mean time though I have a 411 cab to rebuild in the near future, so keep your eyes pealed as it will be posted on here :)
Cheers, Brian

Hi treefirm u1650 full ag spec are getting long in the tooth now unfortunately the cabs are suffering with rust issues we have one in at the moment with a full cab rebuild it's needed a lot of work. You need to know where to look as a Unimog can look fine from the outside.
Mechanically the 1600 /1650 are a durable Unimog look out for the usual achilles heel the portal hubs ideally you need to drop the oil and inspect this after a short drive or jack each corner and check for play.
If I hear of anything I'll let you know on here.
