I've a u140L as well Pablo, and hopefully mounting a 6tm crane on the back.
I wish I'd bought one of those Irish electric board 140l when they were released 👍 Pablo is talking about a 1400l that's a different model to yours unless it's a typo 😀

It's getting harder to re register her in England as the Dvla are clamping down on every front but it's for the purpose of what it's going to be used for that matters here in England not sure about Ireland.

Hi Pablo b and welcome to the forum,
I can't help with registration in Ireland i'm afraid, but would it be possible to register it in the UK first as agricultural then use the uk log book as evidence to register it as ag in Ireland?
Cheers, Brian

Thank you. I will try to put up a few pics taking me a while to get the hang of this site. Bit rough so I want to do it up but want to know can I tax and insure it reasonably before I start

If it after a buyer....
I would presume as it's not agri u would need to declare the crane to your insurance. Nail mehann ( hope that's right) might be off help I know he's restoring a u140l and adding a crane but that might be a different kettle off fish.
Any pics off your set up?

Hi all. I'm new on here but seems like a very good site with lots of information. Searched through a few other posts but couldn't find the answers I was looking for. I bought a nice u1400l a few years ago with a cormach 360 7 tonne crane on the back of it. It needed some cosmetic work or more like pimping was going to fit a mobile generator and welder to it and use it for farm shed erections and general work. Its registered as private goods and crane was fitted afterwards. My idea was to get it registered as agricultural but seemingingly this is near impossible in Ireland, OK to do in UK but powers that be over here done like them and then is there more headaches as there is a crane on the back. I'm at a dead end and Dont know where to go quiet a few quid just sitting there under trees going green. My question is has anyone had any experience with this or know someone who would that could give me some advice. Maybe I should cut my losses and sell. Was working in Sussex earlier this year and noticed contractors with an older one and they were using it to put up farm buildings but they were gone before I got a chance to talk to them. Also is there separate insurance implications if there is a crane on the back. Thanks help would be greatly appreciated
