just a note, you can have a pto that operates off the standard foot clutch, not very common but they're out there :)

Hi, yes having a PTO fitted is expensive, it doesn't come off the gearbox like on a truck or a land rover, it's a two speed, 540 or 1000 rpm gearbox fitted directly to the engine and has two clutches, one for the pto and the other for the vehicle, there is also a second lever to select front, both or rear pto there is what resembles an air operated hand brake lever that controls the clutch, obviously there are also the pto shafts and as it has at least one pto it would also have the 3point hitch.

Right i need a bit of help im looking for a unimog i have around 20k to spend i would like to get a winch and a hiab arm on it i see there is one on ebay at the moment but this doesnt have any PTO does it cost alot to have one fitted ? im a tree miller and have to move and cut big trees the biggest ive had do far is 15 tons for the main trunk please help guys any help would be great has anyone gone abroad to buy mogs ? is it not worth even doing ? i would like to try and find a chipper to go on the mog too im a novice when it comes to mogs but in advance thanks guys :)
