Title: Re: Serious water crossings in the 2013 Breslau-Poland Rally
Post by: Rabbit Recovery on April 01, 2019, 04:10:08 pm
The off road competition side of motorsport in the UK for smaller vehicles is quite healthy (not as good as it was in the 90's but then nothing is. I am involved in the BXCC (British Cross Country Championships) which is similar vehicles to one of the categories in the Breslau (but i cannot remember the class), which is the out and out racing class without winches,. There is then the challenge scene but this is not for trucks. What we are missing is the truck category. The UK issue with this is the land that we have available. We simply do not have the space or the tracks. Regrettably.

uK is very good for off-roading more than most European countries apart from France. Seams that environmentalists see the visual effects of tyres on the ground in my 50+ years I’ve seen massive changes in wildlife in the Uk more damage by agri chemicals than anything else. the polygons in Poland in the few days we were there over the last three years we saw so much wildlife from newts to wild boar amazing when the land has been used by tanks and all manner of military vehicles from all over the world the Americans were there last year yes there were track and damaged ground but the diversity of wildlife was amazing.

You’d have my support.
However - don’t we have too many tree-huggers.... and post-Brexit, no one will be allowed to enter the UK.
Having said that, the GBP will be worth so little we will need their foreign currency.....

Thanks - watched it last night.
Quite interesting, though such a shame the effect everything had on several relationships.
OMG - I would so love to do the Bresleau Rally. Just need a fee £’000.... :D

Early day thing got a bit green all about envoroment or being seen to be green, the last two years we were there we saw more wildlife than I’ve seen i the last twenty years in the Uk, the charge tanks around the polygons for lord knows how long and it’s lovely place full of wildlife,. While her aland Rover creates a 8” wheel route and it’s the end of the world.
More like all the chemicals we’ve used over the years !!!!
