Driverounds at Bordon. Just down A3 from Surbiton to Guildford, then A31 and A325....
We have had several overlanders come for a shakedown of their vehicles; trucks like Mercedes vans, Leylad Daf, Bedford and even a Ural. Our next event is Sunday 17 February at Slab
Slab Drive around (http://www.awdc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=17361&sid=55f38d09e75d69326f49c6748815e00b)

Sounds interesting. I'm not sure I can make this event but please keep us updated of future days. Generally I'll make the most of any chance to watch a Unimog in the mud... I've endured nights of howling winds and rain under a tarp in the bed of my pickup before now just to have a ride as passenger for an hour or two!

I'll ask the main pilot (moose) if we can go down to this, but its a bit far in the mog just for a day, and theirs no way we'll have the truck done by then :-[
Thanks for posting anyway, sure theirs some people more local who'll be able to go :)

Lol if I knew that you could come work with me for a few days :D
I'm the same as villagers, a long way for a day especially in the mog doing 40 lol. Cool post though ;D

I'd work for free just to mess about in a Unimog for a day or two! If you're ever short staffed I'd fly up and B&B it, bring the mrs and have a weeks holiday at the same time.

Am I right in thinking nerd comes after geek? :P

I'd prefer to call it research into worthy investments for my business....
Geeks and nerds generally know a lot about their subject. I'm clearly not in that category! :P
