Title: Lada Niva Rally Project - The Red Bear
Post by: Villager on January 11, 2020, 12:08:11 pm
Hi everyone,

First of all apologies for my lack of website integration, I have been very busy and had some changes in my life, but I'm back now :)
I thought I'd share my latest project with you all, I'm quite a lada enthusiast, I have 2, ones my daily and one (the red bear) is going to be built to FIA rally spec.
It's going to mostly be videos but I'll post them on here and what not.
Since starting I have made some decisions on the power plant, which will be covered in a later video 8)

That's going to be a massive project. I seem to remember the fiat twincam engine was a popular swap for the Lada's.

Yes fiat twin cam was a common swap, quite hard to come by now. They share the same engine block as the lada so we're a straight swap. My powerplant swap Is going to be a more modern approach 👍

We found making cross section of cills to look like this l/ prevented them bellying quite so bad in challenge events.

Yeah that's essentially how the cills will be shaped on this one
