That's a beast of a crane mines not that big, unfortunately I am down near Brighton so bit far to pop up for a look but it would be brilliant if you could take some pictures of the mountings on yours and any information in your book would be good to, I am going to have a go at fitting mine soon.

Thanks Stu.

Brillant thanks changed oils last night and no sign of any metal,,,, which for an old tractor that's more than likely worked hard through its life is good I think,, Now for the next question I want to mount a 2.8 ton hiab on it can you drill/weld unimog chassis ok? as there seems to be no real mounting point behind the cab, tho I am coming round to thinking that mounting it on the back would work better how strong are the 2 mounts on the rear crossmember ? I ve got to large cast mountings each side of the tow hitch these at the moment have another tow hitch bolted to it that is normal height I,e tractor/ land rover height I was wondering if I can use these mounts to bolt the crane on the back meaning I can take it off easy for off road work and play any advise would be handy they seem will fitted to the chassis but don't have the biggest of bolts? tho I guess if you can mount a tow hitch on it they should be strong enough for a crane?

Thanks Stu...
