General Banter! / I'm new to unimog's and some need advice please

Hello.
I'm looking at purchasing a 1999 (T reg) 100l unimog. It is right hand drive and it used to have a cherry picker on the back. That have been removed as it was damaged; so it's now just a cab and chassis. It needs finishing/restoring, which doesn't bother me. What is bothering me is the license caterogy. The persons selling it says you can drive it on a provisional license (car) so I'm assuming it is under 'other engineering plant'. (See link below) Now, I want to buy it to transport my tractors to and from shows, put lift arms on the front and back then I can use it with my tractor implements, and maybe show it too. I have found these guidelines on the Internet. According to the person selling it, the log book says 'specialist vehicle'. I don't have a class 1 or 2. Can I drive it and with what I want to do; do I need to change the caterogy and if so, can I still drive it on a car license???

Thanks,
