Sorry Brian, this story new to me, talk about trying to teach an old dog new tricks!! Yes to both, the black grille sounds interesting, will test the idea when the outside gets a paint job & yes it is the same one that was advertised in Jersey, as you say, a good base, but it had quite a bit wrong with it, plus we've added a few bits, all in all an expensive exercise, but it will hopefully turn out ok. Cheers

Hi Gang,
Many thanks for the warm welcome, we'll post some pics as soon as we can figure out how to do so. Gerard, please check our Mog out when you visit AV on the 26th, it should be almost done by then, as we've never had a hand on it, it would be great for an opinion.
Cheers

Hello All,
I am Rob, my wife Joan, we live in the city of Beira in Mozambique. We are new proud owners of a U1300l, which is currently at AV, having an RHD conversion, other repairs & additions, prior to shipping. As an old time diesel mechanic & being active in the motor trade, we have a reasonable amount of know how, which we intend to put to use in adding a camper body, currently awaiting the arrival of the vehicle. Our intention is to use the rig to tour our beautiful adopted country,  as we are avid ski-boat anglers, obviously with boat in tow. We opted for a Unimog due to the poor road conditions that can be experienced here.
Cheers
