Hi,

I don’t want to miss, telling you about a real Unimog challenge. The Unimog Club Italy made it possible, to have a trip to the Teodulo mountain pass at 3300m above sea level.

After a 1200km trip to Italy, via Luxembourg and France we arrived at the base camp Beruil-Cervina at 2200m. Saturday morning we started with group of Unimogs to the tour.

It was a fantastic event, perfectly organized by the Italian Club. The slogan “more unique than rare” fits perfect.

Only  three Unimog 411 participated in that challenge. You can find some pictures at:
https://www.unimogclubitalia.it/foto/2022/cervinia/

The entire trip was 2400km with an Unimog 411, within 14 days,  through five countries, Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Luxembourg,

Best regards
Markus

Hi folks,

last year we finished a larger project, which is worth to tell you about. Many years after phasing out production of the original “Schmidt T1 Mulde” we successfully started the re-manufacturing. After getting access to an relict of an original part, we took all dimensions and prepared a CAD model. Many hours later we had laser cut and machined parts available. After intense welding, grinding and surface finish the remanufactured attachment could be tested.

Unimog build threads / Special Tools for Unimog 411
« on: November 07, 2020, 05:33:14 pm »
Hi Unimog fans,

I just finished a book about special tools for the Unimog 411. I contains 22 drawings for re-manufacturing special tools and equipment for OM 636 motor and UG1/11 gear box. Based on original Unimog tools. Unfortunately it is only in German language available, but the drawings are multi-lingual.

I donated the manuscript to the Unimog Museum and you can order it at Buch und Bild Verlag (www.buchundbild.de), part of the Unimog Museum.

May it help the Unimog fans in UK, too.

Best regards,
Markus

Unimog build threads / Reerection of an Unimog 411.119 from 1974
« on: June 01, 2016, 08:06:03 am »
Hi,

for those who are interested in overhauling Unimogs, I am re-erecting an Unimog 411.119, long wheel base from 1974. Only 83 vehicles were subsequently manufactured before the Unimog 411 was phased out.

The Unimog was a firefighter in Fafe Portugal in its former life. I bought the Unimog in 2010 and I am now close to be back on the road.
The Unimog was dismantled till to the last bolt.

If you want to see more details, visit (sorry in German language only):

Best regards,
Markus

« on: April 27, 2015, 07:51:12 am »
Hi to all Unimog fans,

I am Markus from Germany and I am an Unimog fan since many years. I own a 411.119 (U441b) from 1963, my daily helper, a 411.119 (U441c) from 1974 under refurbishment, build 83 pieces befor phasing out 411 production. And a 401 Froschauge, the "Frogs Eye" style Westfalia B cab.

To allow longer trips we have a fitting trailer to sleep in during our journeys.

Regards,
Markus
