Scorpion ballast levelling machine driven one of those many years ago, very heavy I don't know how many of them there are but a rare find. If I remember they were about £250,000 new.

I've just taken a look at your picture and see you have a crane  you will have to keep an I on gross weight. But you have a PTO box and shaft to the front and some hydraulics as well so your half way there but I know of no linkage that will fit directly to the rear of your chassis.

Welcome Mogphil
Your issue will be rear PTO, getting the shaft through the chassis to the rear crossmember. The 1300l was primarily a troop carrier, I've never seen a 1300l with linkage, 1300 there are plenty of them with linkage but the two Unimogs are very different.
Anything is possible but once you add all the weight of PTO box shaft linkage and any implement fitted you will be close to your Gross weight.

Just read this post when, I was seventeen I bought a Land rover or two but moved onto harder stuff.
Spent the yesterday fitting a new input seal to my Doka it's been leaking for about ten year and Brian would top it up (good lad) I've had this Mog for over eighteen years and added more and more kit more and more weight. I think this is the first ever repair mechanically I have ever had to do. she was like new inside when I stripped her down all the bolts came apart no problem, it's not an easy job the input seal on a front hub, but once in nearly twenty years of hard graft, I can live with that! Unimogs buy it right service it and work it hard you gotta love.
Ps I still have a soft spot for series 2 with a Essex engine (rose tinted glasses)  :)

Just read your post Bart, funny enough your 404 is the only Mog that can suffer from high speed fatigue keep an eye on hub temps and gearbox temp basically you have a 411 gearbox with twice the revs also your hubs are early tech so the odd high speed run would be fine but if you were to do a lot of high speed work go fully synthetic or change your oil regularly, the later option if you like to do a lot of wading  :D
