I thought I’d post a few photos of the short break we squeezed in just before lockdown2.  Despite a belt breaking at Gretna and being recovered to Atkinson Vos, Big Blue ran faultlessly.  We covered somewhere in the region of 1200 miles from Glasgow to Land’s End and back.  There are some very tight lanes in Cornwall but driving a Unimog it’s almost always the other driver who reverses back straight away.....

I fInally found some 24v H4 LED headlight bulbs which fit within the existing headlight units on my U1300L.  What an improvement !!

I think the difference is clear, but the photo really doesn’t do it justice.

Got my auxiliary fuel tank back from the powder coaters last week & refitted it this weekend.  Very pleased with how it looks:

You’re spot on regarding the rack.  The day we picked it up one snapped and a second the next day.  It’s another part I need to re-engineer.

Thank you for the compliment!
I’m about to change over the accommodation electrics to 24v with LiFePo4 batteries and provision to charge from the alternator.
Also planning to swap out those lights on the roof rack with an LED light bar to save weight & power and put plasma rope on the winch in place of steel cable.
Would like to put the bull bar pictured earlier in this thread on it too, but need to watch the weight as it close to the dreaded 7.5t.
Does anyone on here have experience of the more modestly priced LED light bars?  You can spend £150 or £1000 and I suspect it’s the law of diminishing returns.....

Dan.
