Hi Ben try south cave tractors more likely to have something newer or you could have something made as you don’t need a torsion frame on that model.

Hi folks,

last year we finished a larger project, which is worth to tell you about. Many years after phasing out production of the original “Schmidt T1 Mulde” we successfully started the re-manufacturing. After getting access to an relict of an original part, we took all dimensions and prepared a CAD model. Many hours later we had laser cut and machined parts available. After intense welding, grinding and surface finish the remanufactured attachment could be tested.

Hi I’m in need of some wisdom please ? :)
Just acquiring a unimog but would like to make sure she’s good before hand so any advice on checks I should do she’s been sat for 6 years outside .
There are a few things I’d like to know also ?
Unimog 1985 u1300l diesel
1. Is this motor chain or belt drive ?
2. What oil does it use and how much ?
When I turn the key there’s a constant beeeeeeeeep which stays on when motor is running ?
3. Where is good to get spare parts from ? I’m in New Zealand .
4. Any advice on pre buying/test driving  tips and I’ve only done a short start is there anything that peeps would recommend doing ?

Hello good people,

It's an old story, I am restoring a 404 Doka and looking to make the cab a bit more habitable.

Got some left hand door tops on order from EI, but I am struggling to find right hand ones, any tips here or maybe there are some around that someone knows about?

I am also after a set of hoops and a canvas for the cab. Obviously as a soft top doka I am not entirely hopeful but it might be that someone has a spare they don't want. If there are none around then maybe someone knows a good canvas place where I could get one made up? Same with the hoops, perhaps you have a set of hoops or have come across a good firm that has made hoops up to 404 specs?
