Thats exactly our thoughts, we arent planning on going severe terrain, just some muddy tracks and wet grass, so a unimog would be overkill, the 1124 has a nice balance of power and weight, and is also very comfortable and quite. the unsprung weight is also vastly reduced, which is great for corrugations.
its a great size for a camper, we require a bit more space as we need space for 4 in the back, but if we didnt need that we would cut the back end down for less of an over hang.
and yes, i think its ex-sussex :)
