My opinion is that I would go Merc all the way for the engine and sell yours. Yes parts cost a little more to service perhaps, but the supply chain is fairly good as is the quality of the bits.

Even with the increased service cost, if you look at what you pay for fuel etc on a day to day basis then it's not so bad. It's a very small percentage of the overall outlay
