Digs:
Just started repairing the cab on my unimog,
Hard when there are only pics to go on when fabricating the cab panels !!!!!

406steve:
How bad is the rest of the cab? Had you used the Unimog much before starting work on it, I bet it's a handy bit of kit with a Hiab.

Digs:
Hi Steve
The rest of the cab is as bad, so a lot of welding to do, (will be a expert welder at the end of it)
Not had it long bought as a project and to use round our farm.
Great bit of kit. crane works great, drives well and stops now that i have renewed the brake lines etc.
Was thinking of a replacement secondhand cab but £5K is a bit step, and £2K gets one that still needs a lot of work doing to it !!!!

Rabbit Recovery:
That cab is considerably better than mine. I must admit with the state of mine i have purchased all of the panels new from Mercedes. Last winter it was the passengers side floor, sills, inner wheel arch and both front wings. The plan for this winter is all the same panels for the drivers side and the upper and lower rear panels of the cab. Good luck and happy welding!

Villager:
The panel in your first picture is a tricky one to make, I made the panel in one piece for one of the cabs i restored a while back, very hard to do with the way it bends down towards the front of the cab
