it doesnt matter if the cascade lever (D) is in position I or 0 for road use, as it will still move as long as the splitter lever (C) is in the backwards position.
the only thing with having the lever in position 0, is that you can not use the splitter lever, so i tend to drive in position I, then i can use a half gear when struggling up a hill
