unimog 404s 1959 doka on LPG for sale
« on: September 10, 2018, 06:32:32 pm »
It is with a heavy heart, and massive amounts of frustration that I tentatively put up for sale my Unimog 404.

The only reason is that HMRC are about to send me a huge tax bill. I will need to sell the Unimog, the spare parts, and loose the barn in which it is kept just to get a start on paying her dearfest governments HMRC back a fraction of the bill.

Firstly, I will attach some photos with my username on them, but the photos will need to be taken in the barn, as Im stole the batteries from it to move a truck elsewhere.

A short description of the vehicel is below

started as a rusty 2 door, converted to 4 door, using a later 1964 cab. it has good tyres on it, converted to LPG using 'gotpropane' system, so its totally dependant on LPG, it runs fantastically on this, has all of its 82HP, starts on the button. runs nice, will max out at 60MPH and run all day long.

It has a 6 foot sqaure bed on the back made from 50x25 RHS and scaffold boards, Ive had two tonne in the back on it.

it has a tubular frame to fit a roof to, this is as far as I have got, and currently run it with a piece of old canvas as a 'bikini top'

Ive owned it seven years, was planning on keeping it and continuously working on it.

Its a blast to drive round, peiple wave at you.

tax free
MOT except - its registered correctly as a historic truck so no issues with agri DVLA things

It needs a few things doing, I guess it depends on what you want from it. better to come and view it, I will get some batteried for it soon, so It can be taken out and driven. Ive not used it on the road for a while, as I'm busy with work, and took on a rusty Pajero as a distraction.

theres loads I could say about it, but probably better to ask me a question or better still come and view.

I'm needing to sell it, plus a load of other bits to help pay the HMRC back but it doesn't mean I will take a silly price. they are difficult to value but I figure is probably owes me around £5k so offers somewhere in that region would interest me.

If your local to Romsey I guess I could deliver - once payment is secured, or if you are any further I would stick it on a low loader. - especially if its your first time Unimog ownership. Ive used it to drive to my brothers place near Portsmouth on a round trip done two or three times in one day, with about a ton in each time, and it was fine.

It needs to be filled up at  an LPG pump only. Im lucky I have one within a mile or so. It also has a FLT hose connector if you want to run it off fork lift bottles instead.

I have two uni mog restoration projects for sale, they belonged to my late partner and I really don't know much about them and need some advice on value and where to sell, any help would be appreciated.

Eyup Tracey, from what i can see in the pics they seem like a major undertaking but there always seems to be someone ready for that undertaking, if not there would certanly be a whole host of parts that would be very sort after.
The guys who run this site will have a better idea on where best to advertise, theres always ebay of course or a unimog dealer might be interested.
