Here's one that made me cringe! I never knew you could pull this hard on a mog without breaking it!...

It did not even seem to be in a hole or anything. If the BMP had used a shorter pull the hight of the tow attachment points would have provided much more lift and lower blood pressure for the Mog driver!

When I watched it and the truck pulled up I was thinking it could take some work to get it out with that. But then the tank arrived and I figured it would pull it straight out. Once it got to the stage of trying to snatch recover it with the tank... Well I was just waiting to hear a big crash and see part of the mog flying over the top!

I agree, a higher point on the tow truck would have both lifted the mog out of the mud a little, but also pulled down harder on the back of the tow vehicle giving it more traction. I also thought that a steady pull may have been better than tugging at it? Wet stuff is a pig to snatch things from but a constant pull can sometimes get things moving slowly.

Is that a genuine Merc or associated company part? There's a finger bar mower on the bay at the moment, but I think it's a Ferguson one.

its not a merc thing, but it was something specifically made for mercs, there were quite a few companies that made them.

intrigued to know how the case units were mounted, seems to be no chassis flex at all there
