Does anybody know if theres a unimog in the battle of Britain, we're watching it now and swear we just saw a 411. if we did then they got there facts wrong as the unimog wasnt about during the war.

the unimog was first designed in '45, but the first "test" unimog wasnt made until 1946, and the first official produced unimog was actually made in '47 by boehringer (hence the club logo), not steyr puch which is a common belief. as you correctly say, production wasnt really made mass until 1948.
through the years 1950/51 the unimog went from boehringer to mercedes, and manufacturing went from goppingen to the infamous gaggenau (infamous in the unimog world ;) )

land rover also has a touch of the "filmed before its time" scene, ice cold in alex being a classic :P
