Hi Sandymog, and welcome to the forum.

Book top speed for the 1961 model 411 with 30hp engine is 33mph. I don't suppose that would have changed much for your model.

They look like great little vehicles and a few members have them.

I  think that the engine changed hp rating at some time in production but I don't know when I have just bought a 1967 ex snowblower mog with 2500 miles on the clock! but due to seized brakes I have not tried her out yet!!!

As far as I know (and this may not be 100% accurate in all parts), they came with 25hp to start with. In 1957 they changed to 30, then 32 in 1959 and 34 in 1964. There were also 36hp versions, but I'm unsure of the date they were introduced. Model designations were 411, 411a, 411b and 411c - although I don't know if the engine changes came about with the change of number? They also changed the axles and introduced full syncromesh gearboxes along the way.

Hopefully Villager will be along shortly to add to this and perhaps correct anything I may have got muddled up. He's a big 411 fan and knows a lot more about them than I do.

Edit... That sounds like a nice little project. When you get a moment feel free to post a few pictures. We like seeing other people's mogs and the progress they make when restoring them!

With an ex-snow blower, 35mph down hill with the wind behind it ;) but we have had 40mph out of ours once :O never again :D
Being a snow blower yours will have increased hp from the factory, normally it would have 34bhp being a 67 411c, but a snow blower will have had 36 or 38 from the factory (njc I think this is the 36 hp version you mentioned), I can't remember which off the top of my head.
I wouldn't try fueling it up, without pump Mods that's generally a waste of time on the om636.

any reason for the slightly more hp on a snow blower? or is it just for the weight of the rig?

just cos of the more consistent heavy load on it, the engine doesnt actually drive any of the snow blower gear, an om312 in the back does that :)

another thing I noticed is that the front suspension is very hard would it have heavier springs for the blower?? if so can you get softer springs??

Yep, that'll be the case, incredibly rock hard suspension!  :D you can only really change them for standard 411 springs or u600 springs, the u600 spring will be firmer than standards but not as bad as heavy duties  :D
