well i have decided to go for the 90 engine its a 15j not 12j like i first thought 155 nm and 80 bhp ish sounds about right compared to the original units output but thanks very much for the offer of the engine villager

if i get a few days work in i may contact you on it if you still have it . i figure once i get it rolling i can get it all up together , have a few jobs on the farm to do so will try it on a chain harrow to test it out gently at first . next thing is insurance . the guys at nfu mutual seem to be struggling with a quote unless i just take to vintage shows

does anyone here use nfu ? or can you recommend anyone else . thanks again for the offer and advice chaps

try trust insurance. Ive got a 406 but i would have thought they can cover a 404 as well. NFU seem to be a bit weird. Im sure moose is insured through them but they didnt know what a unimog was when i asked my local branch

he was, he had 3 mogs with them, and a couple of other vehicles, but then they refused point blank to insure me when i passed my test at 17 :-/
