That's all mine is at the moment but I'm getting a nice stainless one made by a mate who makes custom stainless exhausts.
Tried to work the chipper with a side exit exhaust it was horrible, though you have to watch how close you take the mog to the tree with the stack I've been smoked out in the canopy before  :D

That's good to know. I've been thinking about putting one on mine to send the mogstink up over my head when I'm working near it.

The upright stack actually has a mushroom bottom to it, then the tail from the box goes into this mushroom WITHOUT TOUCHING THE SIDES, this means the water doesnt go down into the box, instead it goes down the sides of the mushroom and drips off :) if you have an upright exhaust it needs to flex freely, forgot to mention that, if its just a normal tail pipe it literally bolts on.

That makes more sense. I've only ever studied an upright stack on a U1000 and that was how it was fitted there. I was surprised that it isn't sealed, but it clearly works just as well.

If the vehicle is used in water does this system change? Surely then the water will get in through the open joint and fall into the upright bit that goes into the stack? Probably not when running, but if you stall or shut it down?

Neil, the stack pipe i have i will re use it was all the other pipe work thats being renewed, mines is just a length of pipe fixed to the cab with some bends in it to connect to the silencer box, it has no flex fixings or mushroom bottom to it. i place a can over the top of it if the hogs not working to stop the rain getting in, never had a problem with it rusting away or breaking off its mounts with over flexing.

In answer to what happens with a cab mounted stack in deep water with the mushroom bottom my mate found out whilst helping out with the floods in Somerset. You get a fountain!! The exhaust gases drew the water up the stack and out of the top whilst running :D. He found it very off putting to begin with and those on the back found it very wet  :)
New challenges every month, but driving one cannot be beaten.

in theory the manifold is higher than 1.2 meters, so you shouldnt get any water into the engine ;)

I had wondered why there was a 1.2m limit. Doesn't seem much for a vehicle the size of a square cab mog.

What's the wading depth of a standard U900? And what needs to be done to increase it? First on my list will be a new filler cap and tank breather - mine are pretty messed up! The breather from the torque tube is present, and I understand the hubs breathe through that section too?

compare it to other trucks and nobody can compete with it.

as for the wading depth ive no idea, id say the top of the tyres would be safe as a guess, but dont quote me on that :) and yeah, the hubs breathe through the axle, which breathe through the diff, then through the torque tube, then on some (depending on the year) the rear axle breathes through the gear box as well.
