Hi guys and girls, I'm a new member with a new mog, well not that new, I've just bought a 1650 mog with full agri spec. Wher do you all insure. I've rang my own insurance but they are not interested. Would like some guidance. Bri

Hi Bri and welcome,

Don't forget pictures so we can see the beast! Post some in "show us your mog" section.

Cheers

Try the NFU especially if full agri spec - they are quite reasonable with mine - but it is classed as classic commercial! Phil

Welcome to the forum Bri. What do you plan to use it for? Commercial cover seems to be a lot more expensive than hobby use.

Welcome to the club Bri!

I'm insured with Trust insurance. They mostly do arb insurances but were happy insuring my 406

As the lads say, get some pics up when you get a min as were always interested in other rigs :-)

Hi Bri, I'm Brian :P welcome to the forum :)

Nice chassis you have there, pic's would be great :)

RE insurance, You could try NFU, they won't touch me cos I'm under 25, but for everyone else they seem reasonable, sometimes have to give them a little reminder of what a Unimog actually is though.
We're insured with Bluefin, they're ok, sneak the price up though when you go for renewal if you don't keep your eye on it.
Otherwise you could try comparethemarket.com I suppose  :D be worth it for the giggles  :D

Feel free to ask any questions,

Cheers, Brian  ;D

I found the NFU to be one of the best certanly the most helpful. Seems to be the same as car insurance, WILD price differences. I trawled through a list as long as my arm and got every quote under the sun, main problem was getting hold of someone who was prepared to discuss it in detail and had the authority to give you a price without aving to ask someone else, which allus ended up with them not replying or just sacking me off cos it was too much bother for them. Good luck brian.

NFU were useless when I rang but that was a couple of years back. Villager, there's a reason no one wants to touch u ;-) :-p

Mine is through REIS on a specialist policy. They cover me for use traveling too and from Motorsport events as well. They may be able to do something for you.
