Hello from Derbyshire. I have worked in the woods and fields a long time. Owned a U411, U421, U417 and used these in some difficult working conditions. Interesting forum with some nice vehicles! Thanks.

Hi woodsman and welcome to the forum
Sounds like a nice aray of mogs you have had. How did you find working the older mogs in the woods? As with most mogs it would be nice to see any pics of yours out working :-)

Welcome to the forum woodsman.
It's nice to hear from someone who has a bit of experience of these vehicles. I think many enthusiasts (certainly in my case) know a bit about the vehicles but can have limited experience of using them as they were intended. I'd be very interested to hear about the work you have done in the past.
What did you use your machines for?

Thanks. I used the U421 topping rushes on moorland as lightweight vehicle and also with a Mowi 8 tons wood trailer. We worked it hard but never broke down. I will see what pictures available. I always wanted a U404S but could not find one in good condition at sensible price.

What size topper would it run? Front or rear mounted?
I'm keep to get a front mount flail for my 406 at some point. It may take me a while but I'll get there eventually!
