Theres a leak from the lift side of the hydraulic spool on the Mog.. The steel pipes are all badly coroded from being exposed to too much salt, next job is to get 4 new flexi hoses made up

The climb up from Corgarff was a bit interesting, there was a lot of smoke coming frim rhe engine bay (turned out to be a piece of the cover seal touching the exhaust manifold!) i was concerned that it was overheating... Engine braking does work so torque converter isnt really an issue, brakes are a bit soft but thats not a bad thing for what its going to be used for.. Not so great on steep hill descents!!!

Fitted the 3pt linkage back on today, then delivered the mog and a 10' plough blade to our local blacksmith to get mated :)

Theres 2" if spring lift 2" of packer and about an 1" in the perch so 5" overall. It was originally built with Mog 404 axles but it came to me with uprated RR axles with lockers.. Its useful in the woods but ithas its limitations! It aint a Mog!!

I must admit it was a hard choice to make, the Mog wil be for my team's use to clear snow when required and get used as a fencing truck for the rest of the time so I will get more than my fair share of it! I'll also be in charge of it's disposal as and when it needs re-homed ;)

Craig, its not like a normal torque converter. I am used to driving a large selection of plant and road going vehicles, there is a standard 4 speed manual shift with a second 2 speed and reverse lever. My understanding is that there is a viscous coupling/torque multiplier set up within the clutch designed for heavy low speed towing... beyond that I have limited knowledge of how it is set up. I did get warned that it can get interesting on steep down hills as you cant rely on the engine braking and need to use the brakes to compensate. although I have found that with similar set up machines a light use of the throttle (enough to keep up the drive) and braking works best.

We don't have any long steep sections at the park so not really an issue  :)
