Thanks for your reply. Possibly just not practical to go for such a big crane then and also a bit expensive!

Hi everyone,
This is my first post. I've been interested in Mogs from a distance for about 30 years but never actually owned one. My only 4x4s have been numerous landies. I have a requirement to launch and recover trailered boats up to around 8000kg on wet concrete launching slips. Also I need a mobile crane facility for lifting boat engines in/out and possibly small boats up to 2000kg. Occasionally I have to recover trailers from muddy fields also. I would love to be able to lift 10000kg at 6m radius but that's a ridiculously expensive crane and I'm not sure a mog or my budget could cope!
I thought I'd bought one last year in Scotland but after spending all day on the ferry and driving up there someone offered him slightly more and closed the deal before I got there.
My budget is in the £10k - £15k range but I'd rather not have to get involved with fitting the crane myself.
Anything from U900 to U1400 as space isn't an issue.
Any advice from Mog/Crane owners would be most welcome, I'm here to be educated. I don't have to have it this week as I've already been looking for well over 12 months already. Thanks for any help in advance.
Dean.
