« on: October 17, 2016, 09:13:12 pm »
Hi guys I am regrettably selling my 404 off road beast. For all you old timers on here you might know this mog as I've seen a picture of it on here back in 2014 owned by someone else. I am in no rush to sell but if the price is right then I will but not for peanuts.
Previous owner.. EVERYTHING has been done for the MOT - it is (was) ready to go until the turbo went south.... New turbo supplied just needs fitting
Just had complete rebuild of the portal axles front and rear, seals, bearings and a brake rebuild - shoes, slave cylinder seals, cables and hoses - these are the best portal axles you will find !
Iveco 2.5TD engine (blow turbo seal)
New portal axles bearings and seals to all corners, fresh oil.
New brake shoes, slave cylinder seals, hoses and cables
Rebuilt front differential
New gaitors, seals etc to gearbox
Recent clutch
Custom cab with external roll cage, room for 5 seats (3 fitted)
Custom rear tray for fuel tank and spare wheel carrier
All oils and service items renewed.
Loads of tread on tyres - 80%
6 speed gearbox, switchable rear wheel/four wheel drive with mechanical diff locks to both axles, all controlled in the cab - this thing can climb walls in crawler gear !!!!!
There is over £10k worth of parts here !
I will break it but it has to be in the right order - cab first, wheels last..
Bare Cab - £650
Wheels/tyres - £2400
Trayback - £450
Front bumper and winch - £650
Chassis and V5 (1960) - £1500
Axles - £3000
Seats - £150
Fuel tank (x2) £50
Spare diff - £250
Gearbox - £1000
No swaps please - I have enough cars already........or do I
..... try me !
It fits nicely on a standard Ivor Williams 16ft trailer and weights approx. 2 tonnes. So anything with a 2.5 tonnes towing weight can be used to get it to its new home.
