First outing with my 411 this year
«

I took my 411 to a local classic car event, a short half day affair about 20 miles from my place. Spotted another unimog there which is unheard of in all my days at this event. so I had to do the photo thing.
Picture time.

Looking at that picture the first thing that comes to mind is that a 411 isn't as small as I thought they were!

this picture doesnt do justice, when you think that its actually smaller than an 80 inch series landrover, that when you realize how small they are.

I guess it is closer than the square cab which makes it look bigger. I did think about a 411 briefly but was advised that they wouldn't have the power for my needs. I don't think you said it, but I may be wrong?

i certainly did say it
waste of time if your looking for power, great for yard trucks and hobby mogs though, unbelievably maneuverable, for offroad though your better of going long wheel base, a 66" chassis isnt very keen on going down hill when it has a great big cast engine right at the front!.

This mog was fully loaded with all of the toys. Even had hydraulic motor to power the super slow driving speeds via a small lever on the dash.

Oooh do you mean hydrostatic drive? like a red and black lever? (i think some were black and white) and did it have terramatic linkage, so you can control the linkage from the 4 corners of the mog with 2 buttons, that is posh, although its a right pain for the dealers when it goes wrong.
