Yellow 411 on ebay
« on: June 10, 2013, 08:46:10 pm »
Did any one see the yellow 1966 unimog that was on ebay the other day. Listed at over £3000 complete with air, hydraulics and power steering. I can't find the listing any more. Not even in my watched items. It was very rusty and not much good for restoration but did seem to be fully loaded.
Is this mog for sale any where near you?

It sold for £3300, only one bid. It was in York. Found by searching completed listings over £500.

I can't believe that it got nearly as much as the Schmidt cab 406 that was on there a couple of months ago - that looked to have a lot of useful bits on it too and was in better condition. Having said that, the 411 seems to be fast becoming a real collectors piece.

411's are worth a lot, theyre very much a collectors item in germany. that was incredibly cheap for such a high spec mog.

I know this machine well,

It spent quite a long time at A.C. Price engineering, when it was there it had all the snow blower gear on it including the om312 (which was also fitted in the very early 406's)  whilst there it earnt the nickname of "stanley the snow blower". it then got bought by a friend of ours called Simon. funnily enough Simon is the one who bought the schmidt cab 406 of ebay, small world.
It isnt a particularly high spec 411 really, it does have origional power steering, which is worth a lot, and a compressor, but thats the only really unusual things about it really, most schmidt snow blowers came with power steering.
It now appears that Simon has sold it on ebay, hopefully the new owner will come on here, as it now means i have lost track of this vehicle, unless i contact Simon

It makes me smile how you always seem to recognise these mogs! Show you a picture and you'll reel off it's life history! There's some serious envy of just how much you get to see and work with going on here! ::)

youd be amazed where you find them, some of the most interesting finds are in council estates, they open their garage door and there can be 1 or more mogs there :D
