That is a great video.  I was looking at getting a Stolly until I found out they do not have diffs so are a right pain on the road.  There are stories of drivers going onto grass verges so a wheel can spin and unwind the transmission.  They even used to bounce them off kerbs to get a wheel airborne to release the windup apparently.

I've been in one swimming and there ace.  It was a forfeit for getting winched out by one at Trentham Gardens when I had a Lightweight landy and got stuck in a lake (not the one you can see near the gardens).

The guy needed someone in the back to reach down into the hull and put the props into gear so that was me (the engine sounds excellent as it's next to your ear) as the linkages were missing, and the 'swimming steering' also didn't work, but who cares, I can swim anyway!

It was the first time he'd swam in it and didn't know if it floated which was nice, but it did and I couldn't believe how low it sat in the water, but it certainly goes at some speed in the water, and boy that winch is fast.

I'd have one with a hiab on please....

The white lines on the hubcaps are to show you when you break an axle (they should all line up), and my friend in the royal engineers said their pretty bullet proof as they used to make a ramp on exercise with their engineering tank and all sit down and let the stolly drivers see how high they could get off the floor (all 6 wheels) and all sit around and mark them just like pop idol, and they didn't break them!

Its a hard life, but somebody's got to do it  ;)
