Another job finished
« on: December 04, 2016, 06:18:25 pm »
Finally got my wheels looking more presentable, what i thorght was rust bubbling up turnd out to be layers of uneven paint from previous revamps, was still a right swine sanding it all off to bare metal though.
Next in line are the jiggerd old seats witch ive racked out for re upholstering and got cracking stripping the frames back from old paint and rust, bet this is going to be a time consuming job also, but will look a dam sight better when sorted.

Ideally that's what I would like to do also moose but as per usual cost is the problem and there is plenty of other things to sort.

As for Newby I wouldn't mind if I get chance, it's allus a good do, was worth it last year just to over hear them two old lads while watching the tractor pull say "thers no way way that thing will pull owt" then Brian and moose in the 406 tooteld down the field as if pulling nowt but a bale of straw.

Wasn't much of a tractor pull that I once did the one at Pickering many years ago and that had a load cell on it my green doka showed 55 tons pull and yes it did stop it but it looked awesome walked all over a fast rack on the same night.

I must say I was slightly disappointed but the pull moose, I was hoping for a least a bit of wheel spin excitement! The mog made it look too easy 😂. I hope they have the pull on again this year but with weight in the sled
cant beat the smell of diesel and 2stroke in the morning :)

That's what the tractor boys don't like, it's bulls**t really front wheels of the ground engines Reving tyres slipping all the opposit of what traction is about. Saying that I enjoy it, I do like a challenge but always better to break traction than break my Unimog.
