The U900.406.145 project.
« on: November 17, 2013, 12:53:31 pm »
well, though it was about time i made a thread for this, so here we go.

last weekend i put some heavier springs on the green mog, along with some stove enameled mud gaurds (we pinched these of the orange 1100 and took them to cas coatings in bradford, does a really good job there).

so heres a spring comparison

i got a pic of the mog before, but like an Einstein i took it with the winch blade down, which on the old springs used to relieve the suspension so that it lifted up about 2 inches (with the new ones it doesnt matter if the blade is up or down), but here it is anway

i dont know if you can see in this picture, but the drivers side is fitted with the new spring, it a lot higher.

and im yet to get a pic with it as it is now, shiny mud gaurds and what not :)

cheers, Brian

What tyre size is on the Doka? They look huge! Are they on standard rims?

theyre 405/70/R20's, the biggest size you can really fit to a standard 900, the black mogs on 395/85/R20 tyres, but thats got a 2 inch cab lift and 160bhp to pull it along ;)

and theyre all on standard rims :)

Ah, so they do fit... Hmm, decisions! Do I want to put my 405's on mine? They are nice tyres!

a lot of it depends on the arch width, for example the arches weve just fitted are narrow arches, so the tyres just stick out now, which is legal for forestry spec, but you can get wide arches if you want :)

and id fit them, they look a lot meaner when they have some decent tyres on!
