Hi Keith, welcoem to Unimog Club UK.

Looks like a good base to start with :) i think ive seen this mog on youtube and google a couple of times in the past i think?
The only thing i would ask is how is the cage and double cab mounted?

Hi and welcome,

I saw that Mog on eBay and considered it before I bought my 404.  What are you planning to do about the engine?

not me drivin it was a picture I got of the net from his advertisement
only got it last sat but it is up and running now but need a front cross member fabricating before I drive it as that was the only piece he couldn't find
he ripped it apart after drowning it and bending a con rod then it sat for 9 months in his yard before I got it but everything else was there not to much work steel and a welder I would put some more piccys on but it wont let me so here is a link to them

Hi Keith,
If you copy the image code from photobucket they should show?
Also, the cage does look strong, but is it isometrically mounted, so that the chassis can flex and you can get full articulation out of it.
And that was a reasonable price :)

Looks like a tidy bus :) i've attached a picture of what im trying to explain, this shows just one method of isometric mounting, it can go down to just three mounts, which is how single cabs are usually mounted. original crew cab u900 406/416's use 5 mounts and arent iso mounted, they are often converted to the method in the drawing ive attached. :)

Hope this helps

Should put the Disco to shame off road too. ;D

it similar to that if you look at the side low picture you can see the green bars going to the chassis are roll cage points think it gose on to 6 points on the chassis 2 front by winch 2 behind drivers seat 2 behind rear seats if this helps
