Ive been doing a bit of that with the 404....... it wouldnt pull the stump though! Only 2ft dia and I left 3ft out of the ground to pull........... ended up being a Drott job and still had to dig 2 ft deep all around with the back actor........ I know its not a Mog - but it is old and interesting!

Lol that's a right little beast! I've only ever managed to pull one stump out with a mog otherwise I just get a stump grinder in :-)

Thanks Rabbit.......... was going for scrap and at 6 1/2 tons when scrap was high! Convinced the old boy if I could get it going Id buy it! Then the problem was shifting it? I got it going, he said he could deliver......... He phoned me 7.30am one Sunday waiting at the gate - he had only driven it there on the road!! OMG!

Its a bit of a tool! The surprising...... and quite frightening thing is - it doesnt grip very well! This is a smooth track loader with no grousers or cleats on the tracks, the Mog 404 will run rings around it on steep ground. I drove it up a steep slope recently and all was well until it broke traction, then it went backwards downhill like a 7 ton sledge! Only dropping that 4 in 1 bucket stopped it - I think the very low ground pressure means it skates easily! Interesting though, I would have thought it would go places the Mog wouldnt!

Mog 1 - Drott nil!

Put it this way....... I wouldnt tow a mower down this slope with the Drott! Photos of slopes never look much, but believe me - this is steep - even in the Mog!
