Yes the Sepson is worm drive.

I am not familiar with a 419 Unimog.  Is the 417 gearbox it uses the same as the square cab mogs?

I had not thought about using the bottom PTO for powering a crane.  It has an hydraulic pump and I think 10 gallon tank.  It was setup on my truck by Case to be usually used by their model 480 or 580 backhoe. 

My hard drive crashed last summer and I lost all my pictures.  I'll pull some off the Internet that I posted pre-crash and post them on the picture forum.

Thank you very much for offering to take pictures of the front blade setup.  I am really curious to know how it attaches.
