Put them up in the general banter or pictures section. Although anywhere is good really!
Weight wise it wouldn't hurt to have it there when towing. It will keep the mog in a straight line better. Having said that if you're towing a light weight trailer, it's not going to bully a 404 anyway! Off roading though a bit of weight really seems to help. Some sort of removable ballast would be perfect, either in one lump if you have the means to lift it or smaller blocks that bolt together if you don't.
