Hi Mr mog, nice to have another mog mad person on board!
I have a U1000 at present but used to have a U900 with a Gandini 9" chipper on the back that I had the pump recalibrated by Ken Day Unimogs, it never gave any trouble and the extra power was great towing a timber trailer in the cotswolds.
I used to work with a Gloucester tree surgeon who front mounted a chipper on a u900 and had problems with the rear wheels lifting when braking hard
