The torque converter has no oil flow as such it receives an oil supply from the tail end of the power steering only for replenishment all it is is a torque convertor before the manual gearbox. You guys are thinking of hydrostatic drive, drive from hydraulic pump on the gearbox totally different thing and very rare on a 406.
