Thanks John/Craig, that is the same PUH  :)
I have never tried to pull mine out, that explains how to get a drawbar pin right through the clevis and put an r clip through it. :-[
What holds the drawbar in place when you pull it out?
Does your hitch have an identification plate on it John, I cant find a makers name on mine?

Hi Tony,
Can't recall ever seeing a plate on it. Will look in the morning, I have not used the pin hitch in a long time. seem to remember that the pin that "parks it" (the horizontal one) drops through a vertical hole to keep the drawbar in place.

Watch this space

Tony,
The is, or should be a pin running horizontal on the clevis part, remove that pin, then release and lower the hook as normal, about 1/2 way, the clevis will lower down as well, pull the clevis drawbar outwards, and the will be 2 holes in, line up with the hole in the carrier to which ever one you need for the length of drawbar you want, then drop the same pin you removed from horizontal in the hole vertically.
Putting the lynch pin, or R clip on you need to lift the draw bar up by hand, leaving the hook down, and reach between to fit the clip.
The clevis is locked and ready to be used now, and can be lowered to ground level if needed to hitch some thing up, then raised as normal until it locks up, the same as the hook.
Has yours got an air release on the hitch?

I am all excited about trying to extend my drawbar but will have to wait as I have got the double drum winch on the linkage at the minute and it is a bugger to get on and off.
I have an air ram on the PUH release operated by a push button located in the gear selector panel.

Ooh.... Does that mean it's going to be used again? Give me a call if you want a hand on the timber one day - I wouldn't mind seeing that in action.

Sounds like the hitch's are the same or very similar, mines got the air release as well, but some one I know has the same basic hitch but no air release, and mounted slightly differently to mine, but that looks as if its been done at a different time to when the hitch was new.
