Importing Unimogs

Does anyone know the best way to bring a Unimog into the UK from the Netherlands? I'd like to buy a Unimog 406 there but not confident about what the rules are for getting it into the UK.

I’m sure you’ll get some good advice on this from people who have done it.
My suggestion is - do it before Brexit.  Who knows what will happen in a few weeks... ???

Stumbled upon the Government website on importing whiles which should tell you all you need to know...

Importing vehicles into the UK
Steps you must follow when importing vehicles into the UK, including making an import declaration, paying VAT and duty and telling HMRC using the NOVA service.
