Looking forward to this.

I have sent a rough map of the site to Villager. Hopefully he will either post it here or forward the link to all who have registered.
EDIT - See below post, this map is now out of date.

Villager, do you have the number of trucks coming?

Ian

IMPORTANT

I have just had a call from Tony, the land owner at Lincomb, he cannot get his mower up to the area that was planned for us to camp in.  He says it is quite overgrown and would not be a nice place to stay.

Due to this he has asked that we camp on the farm instead.  This is actually better for us as it is much closer to the toilets and showers.  To get to the new camp area, drive through the farm yard - SLOWLY PLEASE, follow the signs for Lincomb Equestrian.  As you come out of the yard turn right on to the grass sign posted as parking.  Park up along the hedge on the right.  Go as far along the field as possible.  Apparently there are a couple of 1000 litre IBCs in the middle of the field so you will know if you are in the right place.

You should see either my silver Mercedes ML or my 404.

We can still have our fire :)

See you there.

Ian

I've had a slight hiccup with my plans and will now be arriving early on Saturday. As usual, it's work related and means that I'd be driving in close to dark if I was to come on Friday. As I haven't really got all that much faith in the old girl I'm going to leave very early on Saturday to avoid traffic. I will then have the rest of the day(light) to call in reinforcements and regroup if something goes wrong.

Hi everyone,

The number of trucks attending is 8 including ours, and some people are hoping to turn up on the day and pay, so there may be more.
Also is Tony still able to supply firewood for the communal fire? we haven't been able to source any. Casto very kindly volunteered to supply some firewood, but I declined as I thought i would be able to source some  :-*
Unfortunately we are not able to get a brand new Unimog this year, We had hoped to get a U423 there, but it was already booked for an event. we then hoped to use the newest Unimog into the country (a U213) but that hasn't yet been registered. so I'm afraid I'm going to have to disappoint on that one.

Do you still own a cruiser Ian?

Cheers, Brian

Are we looking for cut/split logs for a neat fire or longer/thinner branch type stuff for a more campy looking fire? I have both here to some extent, so I'll throw some on if I have time tomorrow. All the branches will be fairly thin so perhaps a mixture of both?

I can probably load enough on for Saturday, but if you count on me for Friday night you're going to get cold I'm afraid! :D

Just came out of the workshop for tea, spider frame is on, rear body chassis is on, Have just got to make a floor, wire up some lights, put on a couple of mirrors and check the fluid levels tonight and tomorrow night and if that goes ok I will try and get there Saturday!
If i dont get the mog together i will drive up sunday, in fact that is properly the best plan as i can pick Neil up somewhere along the way and save him the walk :o

I am sure we can buy some logs from Tony if needed.  Having said that I have some wood here that I can bring.

No I don't have a cruiser any more. Replaced my last one with the 404 and ML combination.

That would be great Neil :) a mixture is fine, I'm sure youd rather get rid of the thinner stuff that's not much use :)
Sounds good to me Gloucester, saturday would be nice, then Michael will have a few more mogs for the photo shoot :) but if you can't, no problems  :)
And cheers Ian, that would be great :)
